In Romania, anger at corruption looms large over presidential polls

Romanians are gearing up for the second round of presidential elections on Sunday. The vote pits incumbent Klaus Iohannis against former prime minister and current leader of the Social Democrats (PSD), Viorica Dancila. Anger at her party has been growing in recent years, with many Romanians saying they’re sick of the PSD’s cronyism and corruption. Still fresh in their minds is a deadly nightclub fire in 2015. Many believe the circumstances surrounding that tragic event speak volumes about the endemic corruption in the country. Our correspondents report.
