Ruben Amorim has provided an update on the future of Alejandro Garnacho amid reports he has told the winger to find a new club.
The Argentina international was frustrated to have been left out of the starting line-up for Wednesday’s Europa League final against Tottenham.
Defeat in Bilbao only served to fuel Garnacho’s sense of injustice and he drew widespread criticism for criticising his manager in the immediate aftermath of a costly and damaging defeat.
‘Up until the final I played every round helping the team, and today I play 20 minutes, I don’t know,’ he said.
‘The final will influence (my decision) but the whole season, the situation of the club.’

Amorim sidestepped questions about Garnacho’s place in his future plans ahead of Sunday’s game against Aston Villa but reports claim he has told the forward to find a new club.
Garnacho was lest out of the squad for Sunday’s game, ahead of which his girlfriend fueled speculation he had played his last game for the club.

Napoli are understood to be the leading candidates to sign the 20-year-old while Chelsea could also revive their interest in a player who they looked at signing in January.
For now, however, Amorim is adamant that Garnacho remains a United player and will be expected to report for duty next week when the club embarks on a post season tour of Kuala Lumpur and Hong Kong.
‘No, Garnacho is a Manchester United player that is not in the squad today but he continues to be a Manchester United player,’ said Amorim when asked if the former Atletico Madrid star had played his last game for the club.
Pressed on whether Garnacho would travel to Asia, he added: ‘Yes, everyone is going because we have to go to meet our fans and give something to our fans on the other side of the world.’
