Arsenal are eyeing a possible move to sign out-of-favour Paris Saint-Germain forward Lee Kang-In.
Lee joined PSG with weighty expectations on his shoulders in 2023 following a move from La Liga outfit Mallorca, where he had enjoyed two eye-catching seasons.
But Lee has struggled to nail down a regular starting berth under Luis Enrique and is deemed surplus to requirements in Paris ahead of the summer transfer window.
Arsenal’s newly appointed sporting director, Andrea Berta, tried and failed to sign Lee for Atletico Madrid two years ago, before the South Korea international completed a switch to Paris.
According to The Sun, Berta remains an admirer and ‘will encourage Mikel Arteta to make room in his squad’ for the versatile 24-year-old, who is comfortable play in attacking midfield, on both flanks and as a false nine.

PSG are actively looking to offload Lee and will look to recoup the £18.7million fee they spent on the Korean. The French champions will not listen to offers below £17m.
Eleven of Lee’s 29 appearances in Ligue 1 have come from the bench this term and the attacker has grown increasingly frustrated with his bit-part role under Enrique.

The report claims PSG’s eagerness to sell Lee could see a deal struck ‘relatively quickly’ should Arsenal step up their pursuit over the coming weeks and months.
Lee’s current contract with PSG, which he signed upon arrival at the Parc des Princes, runs through to 2028.
Enrique handed Lee a rare start at the weekend as PSG fell to a 2-1 defeat at the hands of Strasbourg in Ligue 1.
However, the former Mallorca and Valencia man was forced off at the halfway stage with a shin injury, putting his involvement in Wednesday’s Champions League semi-final second leg with Arsenal in some doubt.
Lee has since been pictured in training, but it remains to be seen if he will be risked for the Gunners’ visit to the French capital.
Enrique has, though, confirmed that top goalscorer Ousmane Dembele could feature against the Gunners after shaking off a hamstring problem.
‘He has been training with the squad for two days. He will be available,’ the PSG manager told reporters this afternoon.
