You can now buy Lotus Biscoff KitKat Chunkys in the UK

The bars are available from online snack retailer GB Gifts (Picture: KitKat)

Fans of Lotus Biscoff in the UK are in for a treat. You can now snap up a Lotus Biscoff KitKat Chunky – a dreamy crossover between the Belgian caramelised biscuits and the popular chocolate bar – but there’s a bit of a catch.

For the time being, you won’t be able to buy one from your local corner shop – you can only get your hands on the new flavour through the online retailer GB Gifts, which imports snacks from around the world, as the bars are usually only available in Dubai.

The wafer biscuit and milk chocolate treat now has a layer of Biscoff spread inside, and costs £2.99 a pop.

There’s also a £2.99 delivery charge when ordering to the UK, and there’s a two per customer limit so you might want to see if there is anything else you want to order at the same time.

It is pretty pricey as you can buy one of the original bars for between 50p and £1 in most stores, but the extra cost is to cover importing it here.

Revealing the news on Instagram, GB Gifts shared a picture of the bars with the caption: ‘Nestle Kit Kat Chunky Lotus Biscoff Chocolate Bars Coming Soon @gbgifts’.

Unfortunately, the Biscoff-flavoured bars have already sold out on GB Gifts – but you can opt to receive an email notification when they’re back in stock.

The website states that they’re expecting a big delivery of the treats on December 4 – so mark your calendars now.

If you’re looking for a Christmas present for the Lotus Biscoff-lover in your life, GB Gifts also stocks Lotus Biscoff hampers containing mini versions of the KitKat Chunky bars, as well as other treats.

A 6-piece hamper costs £9.99, and a 14-piece hamper will set you back £19.99.
