Global re/insurance broker Willis Towers Watson has added Ben MacCarthy to its Corporate Risk and Broking (CRB) business as Head of Casualty Asia, effective December 1.
MacCarthy will be based in Hong Kong and reports to Paul Ward, Head of Global Markets P&C in Asia at WTW.
He brings over 15 years’ experience in the property and casualty market, both in underwriting and broking, as well as experience across roles in various international insurance and broking firms.
He was most recently Head of Customer and Distribution Management for Commercial Insurance at Zurich Insurance.
Prior to that, MacCarthy was the Head of Casualty for its commercial business in Hong Kong.
Before joining Zurich, he worked at Marsh for 10 years.
