A woman has shared her terrifying balayage hair experience that made her locks fall out in chunks.

TikTok user Madison (@madisonwallerrr) took to the app to show her followers the result of the salon disaster.

In the clip, Madison explained that she wanted balayage, a free-handed colouring technique that gives a blended, natural and highlighted look.

However, what she got was not what she asked for.

Instead of the beautifully sun-kissed picture she had used as inspiration, Madison was left with a fully bleached and yellow-toned mane of hair.

‘It’s been eight months and my hair still falls out by the chunks,’ she captioned the video.

In a series of subsequent videos, the 20-year-old shared more details about the hair horror.

When she initially told her hairdresser she wanted her hair lightened, he told her it would cost $150 (approx £108). However, following the appointment he charged her a whopping $300 (approx £216), despite the obvious mishap.

The salon then offered her a refund and she got her hair fixed elsewhere.

‘I ended up messaging their Facebook page with the before and after photos and what I wanted and they said all they could do was give me a refund,’ she explained.

‘I got a refund and I went somewhere else and they fixed it for $150 or something and they didn’t know how it had happened.’

In a YouTube video filmed seven months ago, Madison also shared that her hair was ‘fried’ and some of it fell out. Meanwhile, when she went to a subsequent stylist to get it fixed, nine inches had to be cut off.

Nowadays, Madison is opting for natural brown colour, but says it has created an unwanted green undertone because it mixed with the blonde.

‘I’ve been struggling with it and it’s still dead,’ she stated in a later video.

After that serious blunder, we hope she gets the hair of her dreams very soon.
