Willian has indicated that he could leave Chelsea at the end of the season as the club are refusing to change their contract offer.

The 31-year-old is in his seventh season at Stamford Bridge but his current deal expires at the end of the campaign and he could leave as a free agent.

Chelsea have offered Willian a two-year extension but the Brazil international wants an additional year and is unwilling to accept the club’s proposal as it stands.

And the midfielder now admits his situation is ‘difficult’ with Chelsea refusing to change their terms.

‘Chelsea offered me two years, and they are not going to change what they offered,’ Willian told Esporte Interativo after Chelsea’s defeat to Bayern Munich in the Champions League on Tuesday evening.

‘I said I wanted three more years.

‘The situation is difficult because of this, I really don’t know if it will be possible.

‘My goal is to continue working and focus on this remainder of the season, so that Chelsea can continue winning the games for the remainder of the season.

‘I have a clear head and focused for the rest of the season that we have left.’

Willian has made 34 appearances for Chelsea this season, scoring five goals and registering five assists.
