BOND fans will always remember Tanya Roberts as the glamorous blonde Bond girl in A View To Kill.
The talented beauty lived in California with her second husband, Lance O’Brien. Here’s what we know about him…
Who is Tanya Roberts’ husband Lance O’Brien?
Lance O’Brien is Bond girl Tanya Roberts’ husband.
He keeps a low profile and it is not clear when the two tied the knot.
They live together in Hollywood Hills, California.
Before finding love with Lance later in life, Tanya was married to screenwriter Barry Roberts.
The pair tied the knot in 1974, when the budding actress was just 19.
They spent their life together in California, before Barry tragically died in 2006 after a four and a half year battle with encephalitis, a condition caused by inflammation of the brain.
Tanya famously left That ’70s Show in 2001 to care for him after he became terminally ill.
How did the couple meet?
It isn’t known how Lance and Tanya met – the pair are incredibly low-key about their relationship.
Tanya met her husband Barry when they were waiting in line to watch a movie – he was a psychology student at that time and she was an aspiring model.
And it was the plucky actress who proposed to him! She got down on one knee at a subway station.
Do Tanya and Lance have children?
Tanya and Lance do not have any children together.
The actress has no children of her own, as she and Barry also didn’t have any kids.
Although they have no offspring, Tanya and Lance are dog owners.
Is Tanya Roberts still alive?
Lance had a shock after Tanya’s publicist mistakenly announced that the actress had died at the age of 65 on January 4, 2021.
Sadly, Tanya did pass away just 24 hours later.
The actress “collapsed after walking her dogs on Christmas Eve” and the rep told TMZ that the legendary star was “put on a ventilator, but never got better”.
Lance O’Brien, told The Sun exclusively: “She’s still with us, but not for long.”
Lance said an emotional farewell to his wife of nearly two decades on Sunday after she fell ill over Christmas and was admitted to LA’s Cedars Sinai hospital.
“I turn around and she’s completely passed out cold,” he said. “I thought that was that, she wasn’t going to recover.
“So when I came down the elevator I was distraught, I was lost, I was completely discombobulated.
“There was nobody there to guide me. I called her publicist Mike Pingel and I said I just said goodbye to Tanya.”
Afterwards, reports circulated she had died.
However, it emerged that Tanya was alive, and Lance discovered the news on a live interview.
Explaining how the actress and model, who appeared in the 1985 Bond film A View to a Kill alongside Roger Moore, fell ill, Lance said: “The day before she fell ill she was hiking around the hills here.
“She was hiking four miles every day. She was very fit, hiking all the time.
“I thought I would be the first person to check out, not her.”
But a day later, Tanya was in hospital with a blood infection.
Lance said “Today the doctors told me that it’s best to let her die and to end her life,”
