KIOSK Kev’s job is the man charged with manning the Outback Shack in I’m A Celebrity.
The hairy tatooed Aussie has proved an unexpected hit so far this series – but how much do we know about him and why was Kiosk Keith replaced?
Who is Kiosk Kev on I’m A Celebrity?
Kiosk Kev’s real name is Mark Herlaar – a 53-year old lime farmer from Toowoomba in Queensland.
On November 13, 2018, The Sun Online exclusively revealed Kiosk Kev would be replacing Kiosk Keith.
A show insider told The Sun Online: “Everyone on set is really pleased with the new Kiosk Kev character – his look has to be seen to be believed.
“Viewers will love him but the celebrities will be scared stiff! Like Kiosk Keith, Kev is a man of few words and doesn’t speak.”
An I’m a Celeb spokesman confirmed to The Sun Online that Kev has been handed the keys to the Outback Shack, saying: “Kev won’t take any nonsense from the celebrities, and he looks very intimating!
“The celebs from the previous series who thought Kiosk Keith was scary won’t know how lucky they were – Kiosk Kev is truly terrifying.”
When was Kiosk Kev on reality TV in Australia?
Kiosk Kev aka Mark was previously on the Australian version of the reality show Survivor in 2017.
This involved getting to grips with life in the Samoan jungle.
He lasted 11 days on the show before being voted out by his fellow contestants.
Two days after coming home he contracted dysentery from the water well they had dug.
He said: “It manifested two days after I got home and I was just crook as a dog, like I had dysentery and was nauseated and sick.
“And if that had of played out [in camp] I would have been very disappointed to be going out, basically, in a body bag with the zipper open.”
Why is Kiosk Keith not on I’m A Celeb this year?
On January 5, The Sun Online revealed how Kiosk Keith had been fired after being accused of arriving to work drunk and behaving inappropriately towards a female colleague.
The 53-year-old, whose real name is Raymond Grant, was apparently drunk when he made the alleged unwanted advance towards a young female member of the crew.
A source told The Sun Online: “It wasn’t unusual for Keith to turn up to work drunk as he’s done it before but this incident has shocked everyone.”
His ex-wife Donna then denied Keith was a sexual predator to The Sun Online, revealing he got the boot after he “smacked a young female co-worker’s bottom”.
