Alan Carr is set to make a very welcome appearance on The Masked Singer, with TV’s Chatty Man giving us his guesses about the mystery celebs.

The Interior Design Masters presenter, best known for his beloved talk show, is an absolute staple of British TV.

Joining Rita Ora, Mo Gilligan, Jonathan Ross and Davina McCall on the panel for the singing show, he’s sure to provide some giggles.

Alan, 44, has been pretty private about his personal life over the years, although does occasionally mention his husband.

Alan married his partner of 10 years, party planner Paul Drayton, in Los Angeles in 2018.

At the time, a spokesperson for Alan said: ‘Alan Carr married his long-term partner Paul Drayton at a small private ceremony in LA last week.

‘The couple are currently on honeymoon in Mexico and are planning a big celebration with all their family and friends back in the UK later this summer. They are both extremely happy.’

He has occasionally referenced his husband in shows, and in his book Alantomy: The Inside Story, in which he calls Paul ‘the best thing that ever happened to me.’

The presenter has also opened up about helping Paul through difficulties including an addiction to alcohol, and rehab.

Appearing on The Kelly Hoppen podcast last year, Alan opened up about life at home with Paul in lockdown and pointed out that the last few months have been particularly hard for those with ‘addictive personalities’.

He said: ‘I don’t think anyone is mentioning – obviously with coronavirus – people that do have an addictive personality. It’s tough for Paul.

‘He’ll say, “shall we get a bottle?” and I go, “no we’re not getting any rose in,” but he has been so good and I’m so proud of him.’

Did Adele pay for Alan and Paul’s wedding?

Adele did pay for Alan’s big day, and organised it all as well.

Alan and the Someone Like You singer have been friends for years, after they met in 2008, with him previously saying he wanted her to sing on his big day.

However, she went a step further and got ordained so as she could officiate.

Alan said on The One Show: ‘We’ve known her for ages, and when we told her we were getting married she said, “Can I please plan the whole day for you?”

‘She did it all at her house. So, we got in there, and there is a grand piano with a man playing Ordinary People. Then she sang with our first dance, it was absolutely amazing. I can never repay her, she’s a one-off as we all know.’

He added to Heat magazine: ‘It was amazing. Adele organised it in her back garden in LA – it was absolutely gorgeous and she paid for it all.

‘I tried to give her some money and she said, “My treat ahahahaha”. She’s just adorable. She’s the sweetest person.’

The 32-year-old later confirmed the news by sharing a snap of herself on the big day.

She wrote: ‘Seeing as the cat’s out the bag. I married two of my best friends in January. You know me any excuse to dress up.’
