What, no smartphones? Pre-digital teens – in pictures

In her essay Arrows of Life, Nadine Barth writes: ‘Sven Jacobsen’s pictures of youngsters trying things out – jumping into the water with exuberance, clambering around on fences, poles and dunes, being silly, kissing, skateboarding, or simply lying in the tall grass – remind me of a pre-digital world. Nobody looks at their cellphone, nobody takes a selfie, nobody plays around on a game console’
