Chelsea supremo Marina Granovskaia has reportedly been asking Bundesliga experts whether there’s a way to cut the price of any potential Kai Havertz transfer. The Blues are eager to land the Bayer Leverkusen star when the summer window reopens. But, having spent big on Timo Werner and Hakim Ziyech already, the Blues are looking for a deal that suits them.
According to Bild, Granovskaia is attempting to lower the price of any Havertz deal as she looks to bring the Bayer Leverkusen star to Chelsea.
However, the German giants will supposedly not deviate from it’s £90m asking fee.
Chelsea are determined to get a deal done for a price that suits them. Werner and Ziyech have already been signed while they also want a left-back, while West Ham’s Declan Rice is another target.
As things stand, there’s said to be some difference between the two clubs in Havertz transfer negotiations.
Chelsea apparently want to start the bidding at £63m, fully aware that they’ll have to stump up more in add-ons.

But while Leverkusen want closer to £90m in order to part with their star asset, they’re supposedly ready to begin negotiations at the price Granovskaia wants.
Havertz enjoyed a good campaign over in Germany, scoring 12 goals and registering seven assists as his side narrowly missed out on a place in the Champions League.
And Chelsea’s path to the 21-year-old is currently clear.
Manchester United have been linked with the Germany international but their priority is Jadon Sancho, who is expected to leave Borussia Dortmund.
Real Madrid are saving their money this summer, determined to bankroll deals for the likes of Erling Haaland and Kylian Mbappe in 2021.

And Bayern Munich have already blown the bulk of their transfer budget on Leroy Sane, who moved from Manchester City to the Allianz Arena earlier in the month.
Meanwhile, Sky Sports News reporter Kaveh Solhekol recently claimed that Chelsea are likely to sign Havertz ‘pretty soon’ as negotiations rumble on.
“Well, I think this deal is definitely looking like it’s going to happen pretty soon,” Solhekol told the Premier League Review.
“The state of play is that Chelsea want to sign him, he wants to move to Chelsea, Bayer Leverkusen will sell him this summer simply because he’s got two years left on his contract and he’s not going to be signing a new deal so this is the time they’re going to get the biggest transfer fee for him.
“Bayer Leverkusen want €100m which is about £90m. I don’t think Chelsea are going to stretch as far as that, we think they’re going to do a deal probably for something like £70m but everything is pointing to the fact this deal is going to be done pretty soon.

“Other clubs were interested.
“If Real Madrid had come in for him with a concrete offer, Barcelona if they’d come in for him then you’ve got to be honest, even if you’re a Chelsea fan, he may have been attracted by those two clubs more than moving to Chelsea.
“Those clubs we’re being told are out of the picture; they simply don’t have the money to spend, they need to sell players before they can buy players this summer.
“Their finances have been hit by the pandemic.”
Should Chelsea pay £90m for Havertz he’d become the costliest signing in the club’s history, overtaking the £71.5m they forked out for Kepa Arrizabalaga two years ago.
