Derby manager Frank Lampard led the side’s jubilant celebrations after they booked their place in the Championship play-off final with a thrilling 4-3 aggregate victory over Leeds.

Jack Marriott was Derby’s hero as he dinked over Kiko Casilla at the death to set up a mouthwatering clash with Aston Villa for a place in the Premier League next season.

Leeds looked to be on their way to Wembley as they went 2-0 up on aggregate with Stuart Dallas netting in the 24th minute at Elland Road before substitute Marriott scored with his first touch on half-time.

Second-half goals from Mason Mount and Harry Wilson put Derby ahead for the first time in the tie before Dallas struck his second to level once again. With five minutes remaining of normal time, Marriott completed his brace with a cool finish from close range to kill off Marcelo Bielsa’s side for good.

Sky Sports grabbed Derby stars Marriott and and Mount for a chat in the aftermath of the win and a familiar face gatecrashed the interview while they were giving their accounts of the win.

‘Love you two! We’re not done yet… we’re not done yet!’ Lampard screamed as Mount tried his best to answer his question.

Derby made history by becoming the first team to reach the Championship play-off final after losing the first leg of their semi-final at home, but Lampard knows the job is far from done.

‘The players have done it, their work-rate through year since pre-season. We’re not there yet because I saw Villa last night, but they deserve to celebrate after their performance tonight,’ Lampard said after the win.

‘We should have had a penalty and it was a huge performance from the lads. But this isn’t the end. There’s still work to do.

‘We’re underdogs again, we’ll have a brilliant game at Wembley against a brilliant Villa team. But we’re there.’
