Arsenal put on a stunning display for their fans to enjoy as they ran riot against Tottenham in the north London derby and one of their biggest supporters Ian Wright absolutely loved it.

The Gunners ran out 3-1 winners at the Emirates Stadium as Arsenal climbed into tenth in the Premier League table and a place above Spurs.

A dominant first-half performance saw the home side go three goals up inside 34 minutes as Emile Smith Rowe, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Bukayo Saka found the net.

Former Arsenal striker Wright was watching in the studio alongside ex-Spurs midfielder Hoddle and he did not hold back in his celebrations.

Wright took to Twitter at half-time of the match to share the footage of his wild celebrations as a stunned Hoddle sat in his chair in disbelief.

Arsenal endured a tricky start to the season but have now put a run of three consecutive league wins together to ease the pressure on Arteta.

And the Arsenal boss spoke of his relief at full-time as he thanked the fans for sticking by the team.

‘I think in life you have to show gratitude. These people have stood by this club and these players. This win is for them,’ the Spaniard said.

‘When you are trying rebuild and trying to do the right things you have to stay by your values. Now we are creating the connection with our supporters.

‘We had great determination, great energy and great quality. I really enjoyed it. I see the belief the players have in what we do [in training]. They have the quality to put it into practice.

‘[It is important] they make each other better. It’s about raising the level in the team and training. If they all have that mentality then what happened today happens.’

Arsenal will hope to extend their winning run when they face Brighton on Saturday.
