Vending machine to give out free plant-based sausage rolls for National Sausage Roll Day

The idea came from an April Fool’s joke (Picture: Meatless Farm)

Sausage roll fans are in for a meat-free treat, as a vending machine is due to pop up and give them out for free for one day only.

To celebrate National Sausage Roll Day, a vending machine will be giving out free plant-based sausage rolls.

From 11.30am until 7pm, the Meatless Farm vending machine is going to be distributing the tasty pastries to any who care to take one.

It will only be there for one day, on Saturday June 5, so you’ll have to move fast if you’re keen.

Starting as an April Fool’s joke announcing the launch of M*** F*** sausage roll vending machines nationwide, Meatless Farm is making the joke a reality for one day.

Patrons will be able to enjoy their sausage roll hot or cold depending on their preference thanks to an inbuilt oven.

The vending machine will be found at London’s Observation Point, Southbank, and it will stand at 7ft high, so it won’t be easy to miss.

Morten Toft-Bech, Founder of Meatless Farm, said: ‘This is not a drill.

‘We are turning our April Fools joke of a M*** F***  sausage roll vending machine into a reality so everyone from puff pastry fans to on-the-go snackers can enjoy a plant-based yet remarkably meaty experience. Let’s roll!’

If you find yourself craving a Meatless Farm sausage roll again, you’ll be able to find them at select Sainsbury’s for £1.50.
