A police station located in Trademore estate in Ubani, Abia state, has been attacked by unidentified gunmen.
The Sunday incident is the latest in a series of attacks targeted at security facilities in the southern part of the country.
While there is no report of casualties, officers are said to have relocated from the station.
The incident comes hours after police facilities in Akwa Ibom and Rivers were razed by yet-to-be-unidentified persons.
In Rivers, two police stations and a security checkpoint were attacked, leading to the death of seven officers, while in Akwa Ibom, six persons — five officers and the wife of a policeman — were killed following an attack on the police divisional headquarters in Odoro Ikpe in Ini LGA.
There have also been previous attacks on police stations in Abia state – in April, Nkporo police station was razed, while in February, one officer was killed when gunmen invaded Abayi station.
