Upto 80% of wages to be paid to prevent coronavirus job losses

MILLIONS of workers have been given an unprecedented helping hand tonight in the form of tax cuts in a bid to relieve income lost due to coronavirus.

Chancellor Rishi Sunak has today revealed a package that will see the government pay up to 80 per cent of wages for people who are not working but kept on payroll.

It comes after Prime Minister Boris Johnson last night promised to stand by hardworking Brits during the coronavirus pandemic.
