LONDON (Reuters) – Britain’s government will spend 280 billion pounds ($374 billion) this year to help the country weather the COVID-19 pandemic, finance minister Rishi Sunak said on Wednesday.
“Taken together, today’s figures confirm: This year, we are providing 280 billion pounds to get our country through coronavirus,” Sunak told parliament.
