LOOSE Women star Andrea McLean has revealed she has been going to counselling with her husband Nick Feeney.
The TV presenter spoke openly about the importance of communication during a conversation on the ITV magazine show in which she suggested that counselling can be useful to stop you running into problems.
“A lot of people think going to counselling means there is problem in your relationship, but if you go before there is a problem and learn to communicate – because 99% of all problems are communication,” she said.
She added: “So you learn, ‘why does someone react in that way?’
“Nick and I have been going to counselling for five months or so, and when I tell friends they go ‘Oh, is everything alright?’
“Everything is great! But we want to make sure – as we work together as well – how can we communicate so we see each other as husband and wife and not just business partners?”
Andrea has also appeared on BBC One show Tumble and ITV’s Dancing On Ice and has been divorced twice before.
She married first husband BBC producer Nick Green in 2000 and they welcomed a son, Finlay.
However the pair split and later divorced after she admitted to an affair with builder Steve Toms.
Andrea and Steve wed in 2009 and welcomed their daughter Amy the same year.
But in 2012 they revealed they had ended their marriage.
In 2014 she was set up with Nick on a blind date, and they married in November 2017.
