A TV weathergirl fractured her newsreader rival’s skull in a boozy bar fight after ‘flirting with her husband’.
Chelsea Ambriz, 26, started the vicious brawl with colleague Erica Bivens after running into her on a night out in Huntington, West Virginia.
The pair – who posted several photos of themselves appearing together on WSAZ’s 4pm newscast – started arguing when Chelsea began flirting with Erica’s husband Donald.
The pair started grappling in the bar area, with Chelsea soon leaving Erica with a fractured skull and a bleeding eardrum.
A police report said: “Erica advised that she had problems with Chelsea in the past as far as her being aggressive towards her.
“Erica said that her and her husband didn’t think anything of it until later in the evening Chelsea began to hit on Donald.
“Donald told Chelsea that he was not interested in her and went back over and stood with Erica.
“Donald mentioned to Erica about what had just happened with Chelsea and so Erica went and confronted Chelsea about it.
“Erica said that Chelsea then became irate and began to shove Erica causing both of them to fall over in the bar area”.
Chelsea will appear in court on September 21, and faces a year in jail if convicted on assault charges.
She has reportedly told friends she has been suspended from her job.
