Turtle Beach headsets: Recon 200, Stealth 300 prices, release dates, features

With Fortnite well and truly taking over the world, gamers now more than ever are looking for affordable headsets to use with the PS4, Xbox One, PC and Nintendo Switch.

And judging by the upcoming selection of Turtle Beach headsets announced at E3, that’s exactly what they’re going to get.

Turtle Beach recently revealed its “battle royale ready” Recon 200 and Stealth 300 wired gaming headsets.

Available for £49.99 and £69.99, respectively, the Recon 200 and Stealth 300 headsets are entry-level headphones designed to take advantage of the battle royale boom.

Available in black and white, the Recon 200 headset features 40mm speakers that amplify the audio and enhance the bass, not to mention a high-sensitivity flip-to-mute microphone for voice chat during squad play.

It also comes with a metal-reinforced headband, memory foam cushions for added comfort and a rechargeable battery that delivers more than 12-hours of gaming per charge.

The Stealth 300s, on the other hand, take their cue from the best-selling Stealth 600 series.

As such, gamers can expect a metal-reinforced headband, glasses-friendly memory foam ear cushions, a flip-to-mute mic with variable mic monitoring and an impressive 40-hour rechargeable battery.

It’s even better news for Xbox One owners, because the Stealth 300s feature Windows Sonic surround sound support.

“We’ve seen unprecedented industry growth this year in the headset market, with Turtle Beach outpacing that industry growth by nearly 38% because we deliver the high-quality headsets gamers want and need to be successful in popular Battle Royale games like Fortnite and PUBG, as well as all genres,” reads a Turtle Beach statement.

“Gamers demand superior audio and comfort no matter their level of play, and that’s what we bring to the table with a variety of products to suit every type of gamer.

“The new Recon 200 and Stealth 300 headsets give every player a definitive audio advantage and the premium comfort they need to weather the storm, for a price that doesn’t break the bank.”

Available from Amazon for £49.99, the Recon 200 Gaming Headset can be yours from September 28.

The Stealth 300 Gaming Headset has a July 27 release date, and is available to pre-order from Amazon for £69.99.
