TRNSMT 2021: Kyle Falconer replaces Luke La Volpe on King Tuts stage on Sunday

Kyle Falconer will replace Luke La Volpe after being announced as. new addition to the King Tuts stage at TRNSMT festival.

The View frontman and solo artist who has had hits with Same Jeans was booked for the slot after Luke La Volpe had to pull out after he had to go into self isolation.

Dundee lad Kyle, who last played the Glasgow Green festival in 2018 – and brought his pal Martin Compston with him to watch his set, is buzzing for the chance to show punters his new tunes.

He recently wrote album No Love Songs for Laura which deals with addiction and redemption, fatherhood and loss, which hit number six in the national charts a day after its release.

He told them on social media: “Hey hey hey! See you at 1pm tomorrow/Sunday king Tuts stage x”

It’s also fitting for Kyle to fill in for gutted Bathgate singer Luke as the two wrote a track Terribly Beautiful together for Luke’s EP of the same name.

Luke wrote of his approval at the last minute switch up on his socials: “What a fitting replacement. Co -writer of terribly beautiful.”
