9.15pm UPDATE: Jamie Redknapp on Harry Maguire signing for Man Utd
Harry Maguire will be a good signing for Manchester United, according to Jamie Redknapp.
He said on Sky Sports: “What Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has done, bought in two defenders, Harry Maguire, Wan-Bissaka, listen it’s an awful lot of money make no mistake about it.
“£80million for a defender is astronomical numbers but what they need to do this summer because it seems like there’s fundamentally something wrong with that dressing room.
“They’ve got too many players who don’t feel that passion to play for Man Utd and by signing someone like him he’s a warrior, he knows the game, he’s very good technically, a good defender.
“Then in that dressing room you can start to change that whole process which has been going on in the last few years.
“It’s too much money in my opinion but what you’re getting is a really, really good defender and he will hopefully change the dynamic in the dressing room as well.”

Aston Villa midfielder John McGinn has laughed off rumoured links with Manchester United ahead of his first season as a Premier League player.
He told Sky Sports: “I had a little chuckle at it to be honest. I’m sure a lot of people did.
“It is up to me to go and prove it is justified.
“At that point my whole mindset was on Villa and being successful here.
“I have still got so much left to learn and prove. In the environment here I am appreciated.
“I’m loved and respected by everyone. There is no better feeling. I still have to pinch myself driving in.”

5pm UPDATE: David Luiz leaves Chelsea staff member in tears
Arsenal defender David Luiz ostensibly left one member of Chelsea staff in tears after completing his switch to Emirates Stadium.
The £8million deadline day move shocked Blues fans as Luiz departed Stamford Bridge for a second time in his career – this time after a three-year stint.
The 32-year-old was adored in west London for his passion and plucky playing style.
And it seems Chelsea medical director Paco Biasco was reduced to tears after the Brazilian’s exit.
In a clip captured by Arsenal’s media team, Luiz told Gunners medical director Gary O’Driscoll: “Paco’s amazing. He’s crying, he’s crying.
“He called me crying. I have a great, great relationship with him.”

4.30pm UPDATE: Arsenal could sell Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang or Alexandre Lacazette
Arsenal boss Emery will have no hesitation in selling either of his star strikers if they don’t pen a new deal at the Emirates Stadium, according to The Sun.
Both players are reportedly in talks for new contracts, but neither have agreed a deal just yet.
The Arsenal hierarchy has put its foot down over contract negotiations, as a number of players have left the club on a free transfer in recent years.
Midfielder Aaron Ramsey joined Juventus this summer after his Gunners contract came to an end.
If they don’t sign on the dotted line soon, Arsenal won’t hesitate to sell them, so they don’t miss out on a transfer fee again.

4pm UPDATE: Why Christian Eriksen snubbed Manchester United
Tottenham star Christian Eriksen was unconvinced by Manchester United during transfer talks, reports say.
Tottenham star Eriksen was linked with a move to Manchester United late in the transfer window, with the Red Devils approaching Spurs over a potential deal.
The Denmark international wants to leave the north London giants but, with the Premier League window now shut, he won’t be moving to one of the club’s rivals.
Manchester United approached Tottenham over Eriksen having failed to lure Juventus’ Paulo Dybala to Old Trafford.
And the Daily Mail claim the 27-year-old was left far from impressed by United.
It is claimed Eriksen was ‘not convinced by the ambition or genuine interest’ from the club.

3.30pm UPDATE: PSG want Luka Modric in Neymar to Real Madrid deal
PSG want Real Madrid star Luka Modric as part of any Neymar transfer deal amid Florentino Perez’s desire to beat Barcelona to the player, reports say.
PSG star Neymar wants to leave the club this summer, with Real Madrid and Barcelona both determined to snap him up.
The Brazil international has grown tired of life at the Parc des Princes and believes the standard of football in Ligue 1 to be too low for a player of his ability.
Real Madrid have joined Barcelona in the race to sign Neymar this summer, and Catalan newspaper Sport say that Los Blancos star Modric is wanted by PSG as part of a deal.
However, Modric would prefer to say at the Bernabeu rather than move to the Parc des Princes.
