Harry Kane is the man on the trail of Jimmy Greaves’ goalscoring record at Tottenham Hotspur, and, having opted to remain at the club after a summer of speculation linking him with Manchester City, he must fancy his chances of notching the 44 needed to surpass Greavsie’s 266.
However, the Spurs striker has failed to find his groove so far this season.
In last weekend’s defeat at Crystal Palace, Kane failed to register a shot or touch in the opposition penalty area for the first time in a 90-minute Premier League appearance. In total, the England captain has only mustered two attempts at goal in his 200 minutes of Premier League playing time this season.
Kane’s recent record against Chelsea isn’t great either. He has scored just once in his last eight league games against the Blues.
