Under-fire Tottenham boss Nuno Espirito Santo has admitted he hasn’t slept since his side’s defeat to arch rivals Arsenal in the league on Sunday. And with fans growing restless at his managerial style, there is much to ponder for the Portuguese.
Tottenham started the season on fire, beating Manchester City and then following that up with wins over Wolves and Watford.
But after three consecutive losses to London sides, they now sit in mid-table with little hope and no sense of direction.
Tottenham face Slovenian minnows NS Mura in the UEFA Europa Conference League on Thursday evening and will be silently hopeful of their chances without any hassle.
But with the bigger picture being the Premier League, Nuno will be looking forward to the weekend as opposed to the game against Mura.
And he has confirmed that the squad morale is not exactly at its best at the moment.
“It’s how you react to the bad moments. Every team goes through a moment like this.
“The sooner you get out, the better. Tonight we have to get out.”
Tottenham face Aston Villa at home on Sunday in a bid to get back to winning ways in the league.
