Tommy Fury has been forced out of his fight with Jake Paul on 18 December through injury, but the show will go on as Tyron Woodley will step in for a second crack at Paul.

The Sun report that Fury has suffered an injury while it was known that the 22-year-old has been struggling with illness in recent days.

It is enough for the 7-0 pro to pull out of the fight in Tampa Bay, Florida later this month, although he will hope to reschedule next year against Paul who stands 4-0 as a professional.

One of those four wins came against Woodley in August when the man of YouTube fame earned a split decision victory over the former UFC welterweight champion.

The Chosen One insisted that he had been wronged by the judges and has been pushing for a rematch ever since, although there were not swathes of onlookers that agreed with him over the decision.

Promoter Frank Warren had spoken of Fury’s illness two weeks ago, but sounded confident that the fight would go ahead.

‘Tommy had a little bit of a cold but hopefully he is going to be okay,’ said Warren.

‘We are up in Morecambe [on Wednesday] so hopefully we will know more then, but he is up for it and he wants to fight.

‘He can’t wait for the fight and I know certainly from Jake’s perspective he can’t wait for the fight.’
