Tiger Woods has been hospitalised after he was involved in a car crash in Los Angeles on Tuesday morning.
The 45-year-old was pulled from the wreckage by a fire crew using the ‘jaws of life’.
The Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department described the crash as a ‘single vehicle rollover’ and revealed Woods’ car had ‘sustained major damage’.
The former world No.1 was taken to hospital for treatment for his injuries.
‘The vehicle sustained major damage,’ the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department said in a statement.
‘Mr. Woods was extricated from the wreck with the ‘jaws of life’ by Los Angeles County firefighters and paramedics, then transported to a local hospital by ambulance for his injuries.’
