Three new partners among 12 promotions at law firm

Law firm Anderson Strathern  has announced a raft of promotions including three new partners, a senior associate and three associates.

The firm also advanced five solicitors to senior solicitor and retained all of its second year trainees.


Nick Howie becomes a partner in the corporate team, having joined the firm in 2017. His clients include Apex Hotels and Dentex Healthcare Group. Alasdair Johnstone, who trained with the firm, becomes a partner in the private client team concentrating on high net worth individuals. Stephen McDonagh also becomes a partner, leading the firm’s risk & compliance team while continuing his role as the firm’s data protection officer.

In the rural land & business team, Sophie Noble is promoted to senior associate, while three senior solicitors have been promoted to associate – Anne Lawrie (Commercial Property), Russell Laughland (Private Client) and Stephen Moffat (Dispute Resolution).


Moving up to senior solicitor are Emma Crilley (Dispute Resolution), Jemma Forrest (Employment Law), Fionnlagh Blair and Ross Fairweather (both Dispute Resolution) and Scott Fyfe (Corporate and Commercial).
