This is how you can get £5 off at McDonald’s today

Today is a great day.

Pubs, restaurants and bars can finally reopen their doors after sitting tight for months and hairdressers and beauty salons are also welcoming customers back.

But it seems there’s another reason to celebrate.

McDonald’s is giving people the chance to get £5 off their meals when they spend £20 – but you’ll need to hurry, as the deal is only running today.

So whatever your order of choice – be it a Chicken Legend or a Double Cheeseburger – anyone can get their favourite meals with money off the total.

It’s worth pointing out that the offer is exclusively available through the fast food chain’s app, so you’ll need to download it if you haven’t already.

It’s only available to use for takeaway or drive-thru, so sadly you can’t use it on delivery.

However, if you don’t feel like a McDonald’s today, it looks like there are more deals coming throughout the week, too.

Tomorrow, on Tuesday 13 April, customers can get a free McCafé hot drink using the app. Then, every day between the 14 to 20 April, individuals will also be able to get a hefty 20% off each order.

In case you weren’t aware, McDonald’s restaurants are now back open for walk-in takeaway and customers can still order via the Drive-thru, McDelivery and Click & Serve using the My McDonald’s App.

The restaurant chain is also bringing back outdoor seating from today at branches where this is usually available – but only for those who order via the My McDonald’s App and, of course, the rule-of-six applies.

In other discount news, you can now get £8 worth of Greggs goodies for just £2.59 and Aperol is giving away thousands of free drinks to celebrate the pubs reopening. The orange booze company is running a buy-one-get-one-free offer, where it will reimburse you for a beverage when you buy two at participating venues.
