Coinciding with Photo London, Peckham 24 features a programme of specially commissioned exhibitions, late-night gallery openings and live events with contemporary photographers, curators and galleries. Now in its 4th year, artists include Lotte Andersen, Mel Bles, Marton Perlaki and our one-to-watch – Ronan McKenzie. London-born and based, Mckenzie has quickly earned herself a reputation as a go-to for intimate portraiture and diverse, authentic casting. It’s no surprise then that she has built up a client base that includes Stella McCartney, Nike, Topshop and editorials such as i-D, Vogue and The Travel Almanac.
McKenzie can also be found at Photo London on Friday 17 May, discussing the theme of “Body Conscious” with photographer and professor Haley Morris-Cafiero, photographer Peyton Fulford and Fiona Rogers, COO of Magnum Photos and founder of Firecracker (a network for female photographers). The trio will discuss crucial issues including use of the body within art, exploring and interrogating themes of objectification, identity and body politics.
