The best food and drink-themed baubles and decorations to jazz up a Christmas tree

December is so close we can almost taste the mince pies, which means it’s time to start thinking about festive decorations

This week, many people will be putting their Christmas trees up and planning their yuletide decor for another year.

But if your box of tree decorations could do with a refresh, the high street has plenty of weird and wacky options to choose from – including many that pay homage to some of the nation’s favourite foods and drinks.

Over the past years, themed decorations (that might once have been considered a little tacky) have hit the mainstream.

Now the shops are brimming with hilarious miniature versions of condiments, fast food and tipples to hang on your tree.

This year alone there’s something for everyone with British classics such as fish and chip ornaments alongside a Yorkshire pudding tray bauble.

You’ll also find cupboard staples such as a Heinz bean can and a peanut butter pot – all in bauble form.

And, sticking with the festive theme, there’s also a mince pie bauble and one that comes in the shape of the humble Brussels sprout.

What’s more, many of these would be great gifts for loved ones – depending on their favourite meals and beverages.

Pick an almond milk bauble for the vegan in your life, a tomato sauce bottle for the ketchup lover and a wheel of Edam for the cheese fanatic.

We’ve rounded up some of our favourite food and drink-themed Christmas decorations that are about at the moment – all of which are bound to inject some character into your tree.
