Taylor Swift and Cardi B are sitting next to each other at the MTV VMAs, and we’re already seriously excited for the meme potential.

The seating chart for the upcoming awards has been revealed, with the Me! singer and Bodak Yellow rapper bagging themselves front-row seats to the show.

And 29-year-old Swifty – who will be opening the Awards next Monday at New Jersey’s Prudential Center – will be surrounded by her infamous squad on the night.

Across the aisle from the pair, ‘new couple’ Shawn Mendes and Camila Cabello have also been given a prime seat to all the action.

While Halsey, Gigi Hadid and sister Bella were placed in the rows behind them.

With Taylor’s love of awkward dancing to every single part of the show, and Cardi’s love of all things shady and side-eye, we are sensing some epic moments to come from the bash.

And we’re already living for it.

The upcoming VMAs marks the 10-year anniversary of T-Swizz winning the Best Female Video award for You Belong With Me, which led to the infamous moment Kanye West stormed the stage.

Grabbing the mic, the Gold Digger rapper famously told her: ‘I’ma let you finish but, Beyonce had one of the best videos of all time,’ referring to her iconic Single Ladies visuals which were also nominated.

As Taylor stood on the stage speechless, the camera panned to an equally stunned Beyonce who mouthed, ‘Oh, Kanye’.

Honestly, same.

And it has been claimed the moment affected Queen Bey more than we ever knew, as former Viacom president Van Toffler revealed she was in floods of tears backstage.

Recalling the awkward incident, Van told Billboard: ‘I walk behind the stage – and sure enough there is Beyonce and her dad, and she is crying. She was like, “I didn’t know this was going to happen, I feel so bad for her”.

‘And that’s when it started to click in my head, and maybe hers, about potentially having the whole arc play out in that one night.’

He also revealed it was his suggestion that Beyonce – who ended up winning the most important gong of the night for Video Of The Year – should invite Taylor onto the stage and give her her moment.

We can’t wait to see what drama unfolds this year…
