Eighties heartthrob Tawny Kitaen died from heart issues, according to her autopsy.
The Orange County Coroner’s Office told TMZ.com Tawny’s official cause of death is dilated cardiomyopathy … which is the most common type of heart disease.
Other contributing factors, per the report, include clogged arteries, antidepressants, sedatives, Tylenol, nerve pain medication and opioids.
Tawny was 59 when she died on May 7.
The actress and Whitesnake video star has passed away in Newport Beach, California.
She acted as Tom Hanks’s girlfriend in the 1984 comedy Bachelor Party, and appeared in the Here I Go Again video. She also appeared in Whitesnake’s Is This Love?
Tawny’s celeb career was launched back in 1976, on the game show To Tell the Truth.
She then acted in various movies, finding breakout success with Bachelor Party.
The sisters also thanked her friends and fans for their outpouring of love and support amid their grief.
They wrote: “We are heartbroken and saddened to announce the death of our mom.
“We just want to say thank you for all of you, her fans and her friends,
for always showing her such support and love.
Tawny’s untimely death came just one month after her father passed away from cancer, and the star;s brother said at the time she “died of a broken heart.”
In one of the final interviews before her death, she told David Yontef from Behind The Velvet Rope with David Yontef she was working on her memoir.
She told David: “So I’m in the middle of writing a book right now, because if I don’t write my life story, somebody else is going to, and they’re going to do it off of sound clips, that aren’t true and aren’t real about me.
“So it’s really, really important that I get my book out. Yeah. I mean, even if I only sell two copies, you know.”
