Sweaty Betty just launched a (rare) 50% off activewear sale and it's really, really good

In my quest to hunt down the best sports bras, gym leggings, yoga pants and the like – then share my findings with GLAMOUR readers – I’ve been lucky enough to try many of the bestselling garments from some of the country’s leaders in activewear. And Sweaty Betty is one brand that *never* disappoints.

Founded in London back in the 1980s, the British fitness apparel label is truly one of my favourites when it comes to activewear that genuinely takes your workout to the next level. Every piece in their ever-growing collection is crafted from high-performance fabrics that are sweat-wicking, quick-drying and sculpting – which in turn makes me feel like I can jump higher, move faster and squat lower. Plus, many garments are now crafted from sustainable fabrics, too. (Case in point: these leggings which are made from 17 recycled plastic bottles). Oh, and did I mention it all makes me feel really damn confident?

The above considered, you can imagine how THRILLED I was when news of their 50% off sale landed in my inbox. And on pay day, too?! With the news that gyms will be re-opening in the not-so-distant future (keep your fingers crossed, people), I’m well in the market for some new activewear that’ll make me feel great as I trot off to my first spin class. Their timing could not be better.

Sure, Sweaty Betty gym clothes are not cheap – but this is just another reason to invest while they’re discounted. I urge you to ditch orders of more affordable activewear that won’t last in favour of discounted high-end activewear that will – in the name of the planet and your purse. Apologies in advance for you inevitable addiction.

So, what to buy in the Sweaty Betty sale? Let me point you in the direction of two of my all-time Sweaty Betty favourites, which just so happen to be reduced right now. First up: the Power 7 /8 leggings. Perfect for both yoga and high intensity exercise (and available in a whole plethora of prints), they’re reduced from £75 to £52. They’re super high-waisted (honestly – they won’t even budge post 30 squats and endless burpees) and sculpting on the bum. They’re crafted from a 4-way stretch fabric, they’re sweat-wicking and they have both a zip pocket and side pocket which fits an iPhone 11. Oh, and did I mention the drawcord on the waist to ensure the perfect fit? Race ya.

There’s also the Stamina Longline Sports Bra which is, perhaps, my favourite sports bra of all time. I’ve got it in white, and it offers the perfect amount of support for my (granted, not very big) boobs. The support is classed as medium, though – so it’d still work if you’re a little more blessed. I love the fact that it’s longline, ‘cos it doubles up as both a sports bra and workout top. Plus, it’s seamless for comfort and has compression technology to help you feel secure. Love, love, love.
