The Greatest Dancer team coach Oti Mabuse has revealed her thoughts on fellow judge Cheryl but has vowed to ‘punch’ her husband if he agrees with her.
Strictly professional Oti has spoken out about rumours that she doesn’t really see eye-to-eye with the Geordie singer on the BBC dance competition.
Appearing on Comedy Central’s Your Face Or Mine, Oti admitted to host Jimmy Carr that she finds Cheryl “attractive” but woe betide husband Marius Lepure if her agrees that this is the case.
Addressing the accusation that she and Chery have had a difficult relationship, Oti said: “I love her! She’s actually really nice! I love her!
“She’s beautiful! I think he’s attractive!”
Unfortunately for Marius, there would be some physical retribution for agreeing with this sentiment, so when Jimmy asked him if he finds Cheryl attractive as well, Oti interjected and warned, “He can’t say it or I’ll punch him!”
Feeling brave, Marius did affirm: “No, she is attractive!”
It was at this point that Oti admitted that she gets a touch of the green-eyed monster if Marius checks out other women.
There have been claims from insiders on the BBC dance show that Oti and Cheryl have had a rocky relationship so far.
Despite a number of denials to the contrary, a source has told The Sun that, “Cheryl clearly sees herself as the bigger name, even though Oti has impeccable dance credentials.”
This has apparently led to a “a real atmosphere,” behind-the-scenes and Cheryl has been branded a “diva” after she, “arrived with such an air of superiority.”
“Oti has years of dance competition experience alongside Strictly where she’s been massively popular with fans – but has absolutely no ego at all. They didn’t seem to gel and it was pretty uncomfortable.”
Despite this, show bosses have insisted that all is well and they have been happy with the chemistry between the pair so far.
Your Face Or Mine returns to Comedy Central on February 27 at 8pm.
