It was confirmed by a Strictly spokesperson on Thursday that Judi would be missing from the competition this weekend.
“Judi Love has tested positive for Covid-19 and is now self-isolating following the latest government guidelines,” they said.
“While Judi and Graziano will not be taking part in Strictly Come Dancing this weekend, Strictly Come Dancing protocols mean that all being well, they will return the following week.”
The comedian hasn’t had the easiest of rides on the show having found herself in the bottom two for the last two weeks in a row.
Bookies were predicting that she’d be booted off the series this week before it was announced that she would not be taking part.
However Judi’s fans were shocked to see her in the bottom two again.
One wrote: “Oh do me a favour. Judi again??! So not deserved #Strictly.”
While another fumed: “Excuse me Judi in the dance off what is happening here #Strictly.”
Judi is the second celebrity to be struck down with Covid after McFly frontman Tom Fletcher tested positive for the virus after his debut dance.
However he and partner Amy Dowden returned to the dance floor the following week after completing their isolation stint.
Strictly Come Dancing returns to BBC One on Saturday at 6.45pm.
