Loose Women panellist Judy can no longer dance on Saturday’s episode of Strictly Come Dancing.
She joins a host of celebrities who have been struck down since being announced to appear on the show.
McFly singer Tom Fletcher had to cancel his appearance on the show as a result of Covid-19 but returned with his dancing pro Amy Dowden following isolation.
Peep Show actor and comedian Robert Webb also left the show after a medical consultation following surgery two years ago after a heart murmur was detected.
Rigby star Ugo Monye also had to skip a week following issues with a history of back pain.
Strictly said of Judi’s absence: “Judi Love has tested positive for Covid-19 and is now self-isolating following the latest government guidelines.
“While Judi and Graziano will not be taking part in Strictly Come Dancing this weekend, Strictly Come Dancing protocols mean that all being well, they will return the following week.”
Judie herself told her fans: “Hey my lovelies it’s with great disappointment that I will not be performing this weekend @bbcstrictly due to testing positive with Covid 19.
BBC Breakfast presenter Dan Walker said of Judi’s annuncement: “Sad to hear about @1Judilove and her positive Covid test. I hope she’s ok and that she and @GrazianoDiPrima are able to come back to the show next week. Take care Judi.”
Judi received well wishes from concerned fans but not all were impressed with one saying: “It shouldn’t be allowed ! Why should another pair leave?”
“How did she catch Covid surely she should have been isolating from week to week.”
Another asked cynically: “Wonder who’ll test positive on semi final week and go straight through to the final ? #tactics.”
