The official Steam Black Friday sale release date and start time have been set for this week.
And a new leak has provided a lot of new information on when to expect the first deals to drop.
This will include Valve slashing prices on tons of top PC games, via the Steam Store digital distribution platform.
It’s well known that Valve never announces its plans before launching a major sales event and that isn’t expected to change this week.
But while Valve stays tight-lipped for the most part, the official Steam Sale release dates always seem to leak beforehand.
And it looks like the release date for the Steam Black Friday 2019 event has followed suit.
According to the Steam Database Twitter account, the dates for the next major Steam sale has been revealed in advance of any official news.
The Steam Database is in no way affiliated with the Store or gaming platform but looks to track all the latest news attached to it.
WHEN IS THE STEAM BLACK FRIDAY SALE IN 2019?
According to the Steam Database, this year’s Steam Black Friday Sale will kick off on Tuesday, November 26.
The sale will run for just one week and is expected to end at the same time on December 3.
This is later than previous years and means gamers will be waiting a little longer to start checking out those discounts.
It should also be noted that Steam will be calling it their “Autumn Sale” rather than connecting it with Black Friday.
While this doesn’t mean that the release date is completely locked in, the Steam Database has a great track record of leaking this information early.
Fans will also be able to wait a few weeks and enjoy another Steam Sale following Black Friday 2019.
According to the latest reports, the Steam Winter Sale will be kicking off December 19, and will run until early January.
When it comes to the official start time, Steam sales typically kick off at 6pm GMT, so that’s when the Steam Black Friday Sale is likely to begin.
Revealing the news earlier this year, the Steam Database Twitter account posted: “Leaked upcoming @steam_games 2019 sale dates.
“Halloween Sale: October 28 – November 1. Autumn Sale: November 26 – December 3. Winter Sale: December 19 – January 2.
“Multiple developers posted it in multiple places despite Valve asking otherwise. But you know how that goes.”
As usual, Valve are expected to offer deals on a number of leading titles, including games from Capcom, FromSoftware and other major developers.
But there will also be deals available on popular indie games, while Valve hardware will also see reductions in price.
And there looks to be a lot of interest in finding out what games will be dropping in price over the coming days.
One user on Reddit adds: “The Autumn sale is positioned that way to cover having a sale for Black Friday/Cyber Monday deals with a wider range of what is on sale.
“It’s a good few months to be a gamer around Halloween/Black Friday/Cyber Monday and then just all of December with more frequent major type sales across all sites.”
An announcement is expected after the Steam Autumn Sale is kicked off by Valve on November 26.
