Last week, the Loose Women panelist enjoyed a mini getaway with her family and documented the full trip over on her Instagram stories.
Stacey enjoyed the break with her boyfriend Joe and three sons as she celebrated her 31st birthday, but not everyone has been enjoying the snaps.
Although Stacey and her family have not broken any quarantine rules, some locals expressed frustration about their getaway.
While Wales has not banned visitors from England, those in the country cannot meet more than six people who are not members of their household.
Taking to social media earlier this week, the mum of three appeared in high spirits as she beamed from ear to ear while cuddling her sons during the outing.
She also shared a gushing caption where she thanked her doting boyfriend for finding the picturesque location and swooned over her perfect birthday celebrations.
“I would honestly be anywhere with them and my family. Just ANYWHERE. But I couldn’t think of a more perfect place to be than right here. And YOU GUYS,” she penned in the post.
While Stacey and Joe did not break any rules, it didn’t stop some readers venting their frustation.
“Should not have been allowed to travel to Wales. Clowns,” one reader wrote in response to a story in WalesOnline.
Another reader called the celebrities “reckless” for crossing into Wales.
Other readers actually expressed disbelief about the guidelines made by Welsh authorities about the pandemic.
“So I can’t go 20mins up the road to take my son football training yet, yet they can do this?? @fmwales you need to sort this out!!!,” penned one social media follower.
A representative for Stacey declined to comment.
As it stands, the Welsh border is in fact open however several counties are experiencing their own local lockdowns.
Despite the backlash, Stacey has also been inundated with well wishes as fans sent the star their birthday messages.
