This is the moment a fan falls from the highest tier in a Brazilian stadium before landing on a 13-year-old girl at the bottom of the stand.
The incident happened at the Estadio Cicero Pompeu de Toledo stadium, more commonly known as the Morumbi, in Sao Paulo, Brazil during a match between top-flight teams Sao Paulo and Gremio.
In the video, fans can be seen cheering in the stands when one of them, named in reports as Lago de Melo Rios, 23, can be seen falling from the top tier down to the bottom tier below.

Here de Melo Rios can be seen tipping over the red banner before his fall. According to his mother, he has spoken and said that he ‘is well’ and his vital signs are stable
He reportedly landed on top of a 13-year-old girl, Giovana Santos Araujo, who is said to have softened his blow and avoided a potentially fatal injury.
Local media report de Melo Rios, 23, had climbed the railing that guards the stands before he had his shocking fall.
Local media report the two were rushed to be treated in the stadium’s outpatient clinic before two ambulances arrived taking each to different hospitals.
Reports claim de Melo Rios was taken to the Campo Limbo hospital where he is reportedly undergoing tests and is suspected to have suffered a broken femur.
The young girl was taken to the Next hospital, she is reported to have avoided serious injuries but there have been no updates on her condition.
Again, de Melo Rios can be seen at the point of no return before his mammoth fall. The Morumbi stadium is the arena for São Paulo FC and has a 66,795 attendance limit. This match was against a team called Gremio

Rios’s mother Lilian Barcelos de Melo told local media: ‘His girlfriend called me and said she had seen it on the internet.
‘She saw that someone had fallen in the stadium. She called him straight away and someone answered the phone saying that it was him who had fallen from the top tier of the Morumbi, just minutes after it had happened. It was a real scare.’
She says he has since said ‘he is well’ and that all his vital signs are ‘stable.’
The contest ended in a 0-0 draw. The single point places Sao Paulo in the third position of the Campeonato Brasileiro Seria A.
Gremio are in 11th position of the same league and are set play the Copa Libertadores semi-finals against Flamengo on 2nd and 23rd of October.
