Six by Nico to open its biggest restaurant to date in London's Canary Wharf

Scottish chef Nico Simeone is set to launch Six by Nico Canary Wharf, his largest restaurant to date and a second location in London.

The Glasgow brand’s newest restaurant, on Chancellor Passage, will open on 9 August.

The 100-cover 4,219 sq ft space across indoor dining and a 20-cover outdoor terrace perfectly situated on the dockside. It will also feature a dedicated bar area with a further 60-covers.

Six by Nico offers a six course tasting menu that changes every six weeks.

The opening theme is being kept secret for the moment, but the inaugural menu at Canary Wharf will be revealed closer to the launch. Previous themes have included ‘Mad Hatters Tea Party’, ‘Guilty Pleasures’, ‘Thai Street Food’, ‘Route 66’ and ‘Catalonia’.

Head chef Simeone commented: “The restaurant is our biggest yet and it has been a joy to recruit our 50-strong team, especially following the hardest of times that the hospitality industry has weathered.

“We feel incredibly lucky to be in a position to expand our portfolio and I look forward to bringing our one-of-a-kind dining experience to the area.”

The new Canary Wharf site will be the eighth national location, following restaurants in Glasgow Finnieston, Glasgow Southside, Edinburgh, Belfast, Liverpool, Manchester and London Fitzrovia.

There are also plans to open a third location in Glasgow on Byres Road in September.
