He might be 81 but Sir Cliff Richard has proved he is still a pin-up in his latest calendar.
The shots include one for August with the singer posing topless in a pool wearing a pair of trunks while raising a glass to the camera.
It’s a shot that may come as a surprise to fans who read his autobiography, The Dreamer, in which he declared his days of posing topless were over.
He wrote: “I suspect I have done my final topless photo for my annual calendar. I suspect it’s time to gracefully exit the Chippendales market.”
In the new £9.99 calendar, February’s picture sees Sir Cliff in a brushed cotton jacket clutching a red electric guitar.
For May, he is seen rowing on a lake. The December shot sees him posing in a cardigan in front of a fire and holding a present.
One of the shots was taken in Barbados, the rest in New York.
A spokesman for Sir Cliff said: “Given the global pandemic, formal plans for the annual calendar shoot were changed to a more journalistic viewpoint of a Brit in the USA finding picturesque spots. Sir Cliff loved the informality of the shoot.”
The pop star, who had his first hit with Move It in 1958, has an estimated net worth of £80million.
He has sold 250million records worldwide in a career spanning more than 60 years.
