A Brad Pitt lookalike has shared what it’s really like to resemble a Hollywood star – and it comes with some downsides.
Single dad, Nathan Meads, is the spitting image of the actor who is best known for films such as The Big Short, Fight Club, Moneyball and the Oceans franchise.
The 35-year-old from Oxford claims he has made money off of his likeness to Brad but has struggled when it comes to dating.
This is because some women on dating sites have assumed his profile was fake, while others who were obsessed with Pitt have started “stalking” him.
As a result, he’s had to delete all of his dating profiles.

Nathan, who has two children, works as a groundworker but also has a part-time gig as a Brad Pitt impersonator.
He says he began working as a lookalike three years ago after being told repeatedly that he bears an uncanny resemblance to the famous actor.
Thanks to the pair’s near-identical appearance, Nathan now makes a nice chunk of cash off his face and has partied with big-name celebrities including Rio Ferdinand and Ricky Hatton.
Despite this, the dad is keen to stay “humble” and “down to earth”.
Speaking to Jam Press, he said: “I was first told when I was 20 years old that I looked like Brad Pitt and this continued for about 10 years but I would always just laugh it off.
“Some people would say I must be related to him or that my mum must have had an affair with him.
“A lot of people, even now, will do a double-take when they walk past me or will ask me for a picture, although some of them just take pictures without me realising.
“While hundreds of people told me I looked like him, I never did anything about it but then it became a constant thing that, wherever I went, people would say it. So eventually I decided to send some photos to four different lookalike agencies and they all got back to me and said they wanted to work with me.
“I was even contacted by Dorien Rose, the famous Angelina Jolie lookalike, and she couldn’t believe she hadn’t worked with me.”
Nathan’s lookalike jobs can pay anything from £200 to £500 – which is more than he makes from his day job.
But while he’s very successful at his work, he’s not been so successful in the dating department.
He admits: “I do get hit on by woman a lot, some of them just can’t believe how much I look like him and some of them accuse me of ‘catfishing’.
“People always try and live video call me on my Instagram because they don’t think I’m real.
“I’ve tried dating sites before but some women will accuse me of having a fake profile and others literally start stalking me.
“They’ll add me on all of my social media profiles and keep messaging me so in the end, I just deleted my dating profiles and I’m just staying single.
“I’m not really looking for love anyway and don’t want to settle down as my daughters are my world and my biggest priority.
“I’m not looking for my Angelina.”
Nathan says he feels strange when he’s invited to glamorous events as part of his lookalike role, as he is “just a normal person”.
Before lockdown, he attended the Glamour Awards in London as a special guest, where he spent the night mingling with models, celebrities and musicians.
“It’s strange going to these events because I don’t feel like a celebrity myself, I’m just a normal person,” he explained.
“I also don’t get fazed when I meet celebrities as I’m quite a quiet and humble person myself.”
Nathan has also attended several London fashion shows where he’s rubbed shoulders with supermodels and stars and partied with Love Islanders and Big Brother contestants.
On one occasion he was even approached to be on Big Brother – but he turned them down as he “didn’t think it was for him”.
“I also turned down ITV’s Survival Of The Fittest because it would have meant having to leave my daughters for a few months and I just couldn’t do that, I see them every weekend without fail,” he adds.
And while you might think impersonating Brad Pitt requires a lot of maintenance and working out, Nathan claims it’s quite the opposite.
He said: “I rarely work out, I’m just a hard worker and my full-time job keeps me very fit.
“I don’t even eat healthily – I guess I’m just very lucky and all I have to do is style my goatee.”
Nathan is yet to meet his famous doppelgänger, but hopes their paths will cross one day.
He added: “I am a big Brad Pitt fan and I think he’s a great actor. He plays all of his roles brilliantly and seems like a real gentleman and a family man so we have that in common, although we have very different bank balances.
“People are always so surprised at how humble and down to earth I am when they meet me, probably a bit like him, but I just think we are all the same and I’ve just been blessed with these good looks!”
