Shannen Doherty has revealed she’s struggling to ‘wrap up her affairs’ while battling stage four breast cancer.

The 90210 star, 49, was first diagnosed with cancer in March 2015 and went into remission two years later.

However, earlier this year, the ‘petrified’ actress made the heartbreaking announcement that the cancer has returned.

Amid her health fears, Shannen has been planning to send letters or video messages to her loved ones – but doesn’t want to because it feels like ‘signing off’.

The Charmed star said it seems unnecessary when she feels like a ‘very, very healthy human being’ with ‘another 15 years’ to live.

‘There are things I need to say to my mom. I want my husband to know what he’s meant to me,’ she told Elle.

Shannen went on: ‘But whenever it comes time for me to do it, it feels so final. It feels like you’re signing off, and I’m not signing off.

‘I feel like I’m a very, very healthy human being. It’s hard to wrap up your affairs when you feel like you’re going to live another 10 or 15 years.’

When Shannen’s breast cancer returned, she started questioning whether she has ‘good or bad karma’ and began weighing up the things she’d done in her life – before ultimately deciding that she’s been a ‘really good human being’.

She first spoke about the cancer returning in a devastating interview with Good Morning America.

The TV star said: ‘I don’t think I’ve processed it. It’s a better pill to swallow in a lot of ways. There’s definitely days when I say, “Why me?” and then I go, “Well, why not me? Who else besides me deserves this?” None of us do.’

She admitted that she’s concerned with how her mother Rosa and her husband Kurt Iswarienko are coping with the news.

‘I’m petrified. I’m pretty scared. My mom is a ridiculously strong, courageous human being and so is my husband, but I worry about him,’ Shannen said.

In March, the actress said she’s ‘pushing through’ the diagnosis with the support of her friends, who take her hiking and encourage her to eat healthily.

She wrote: ‘After a year of dealing with cancer coming back and other stresses, I’m back at it. Taking care of myself and embracing every day.

‘It’s not always easy. I have days I’m depressed or just plain lazy. But I push through with the help of friends.’
