After Coventry’s city centre was flattened by bombing in the second world war, much of it was rebuilt using concrete. Over 10 years Coventry was reshaped, with new shopping centres, blocks of flats and flyovers, and planners from across Europe visited to study the transformation. All photographs: Andrew Fox
