Scots tot with leukaemia appears on Lorraine show and captures hearts of nation with her cuteness

A five-year-old girl with cancer captured the nation’s hearts this morning as she was interviewed on Lorraine.

Leukaemia sufferer Mila, from Falkirk, raced onto the TV set with her hard hat and scooter this morning delighting viewers around the UK with her cute charm.

It’s not the first time Mila has been an internet star as she went viral during lockdown with her kiss to her father through the window, as she was isolating during lockdown last year – a picture which later appeared in Kate Middleton’s book Hold Still.

The energetic tot was one of Lorraine’s first guests after the presenter’s summer break and she was a breath of fresh air on the show.

Mila arrived on set in style to chat with her mum, Lynda, about her new Scoot in September campaign which she hopes will raise awareness of blood cancer in children.

Despite host Lorraine asking if she wanted to take her helmet off she insisted on keeping it on.

She also spoke animatedly about her school and Scooter TikTok and was thrilled she had a microphone on, as Lorraine asked her questions.

Children undergoing chemotherapy can suffer mobility issues so “scooting around” allows them all to take part.

Mum Lynda told Lorraine about the new campaign saying: “We came up with the idea a couple of months ago as children undergoing chemotherapy can struggle with mobility problems.

“Shortened achilles, leg pains, spasms and things like that and we felt that physiotherapy exercises were excellent but scooting for Mila was more beneficial and she loves it.”

Mila met with Kate Middleton at Holyrood after her viral lockdown picture made it into the Duchess’ book.

And it was clear from talking on Lorraine that little Mila has further royal ambitions – but this time she needs Prince Louis help.

Lorraine suggested that Kate’s son Prince Louis might be the right age to help her with her new campaign saying: “Do we want Kate to get her children to get on their scooters?

“Louis might be the same age as you, so if he could go out on it, it would be lovely.”

Mila replied hilariously: “Hopefully he’ll get on the scooter, because if he doesn’t then Scoot for September is ruined!'”

Her appearance on the show went down a storm with viewers.

One said: “Kids on TV are boss. Little Mila is a star. #milasneddon

Another added: “How adorable is little Mila Sneddon!! Let’s all get on her scooters for this little lady!! bags of personality …”

Someone else admitted: “Mila has just turned my morning right around.”

And a fourth added: “This little girl Mila Sneddon is giving me all the vibes this morning.”
