Scots Squad fans in for a treat with special Euros 2020 edition

Scot Squad fans will be in their element with a special edition of the award winning comedy cop show in time for the Euros.

Scotland will be celebrating as our national team reach the Euro 2020 tournament scheduled from June 11 to July 11.

To mark the occasion, on June 6, mockumentary Scots Squad will have a special show entitled Euros 2020 running form 10pm-10:30pm on BBC Scotland.

The show will look at the celebrations and violations that come with a big event like the Euros 2020 as the action unfolds.

A description of the show reads: “It’s all kicking off for the Euros! And the nation’s favourite force are lining up in the ideal formation to deal with everything from rule violation to public jubilation.

“Crime won’t sit on the subs bench just because a big football tournament is taking place. The squad get their game face on to see some action in the field, on the road, online and on the beat.

“These cops are on the ball to tackle scams, flashpoints and security checks while assisting famous faces and keeping an eye on public hotspots.

On the ground at the local station, Bobby needs urgent police assistance from Officer Karen on tournament etiquette.

It adds: “At the top of high command, head coach Chief Miekelson delivers advice to the Scottish people on the optimum way to stay legal and to the Scotland side on the best way to win the tournament.”

The BAFTA award winning blue-light spoof comedy stars Jack Docherty, Grado, Manjot Sumal, Jordan Young, Sally Reid, Karen Bartke, Darren Connell, Louise McCarthy, Julie Wilson Nimmo and special guests.

Show actor Jordan Young posted up a video teaser of the show and said: “Scot Squad Euro special this Sunday 6th of June.

Jordan’s River City co star and DJ Grant Stott replied: “I’ll be watching. But ONLY if YOU’RE in it.”

And Jordan confirmed: “Then you’ll be watching it!”
