Iain from Edinburgh, co-wrote Buffering with Steve Bugeja and is extremely proud of the way it has turned out.
The six-parter focuses on the “daily challenges of millennial living” and will follow a 20-something children’s TV presenter called Iain (played by Iain himself) who is in a complicated relationship with a TV producer called Olivia (played by Elena Saurel), writes The Mirror.
Iain lives with flatmates called Rosie, Greg, Ashley and Thalia and Ashley’s former boyfriend Robbie.
In the clip, Iain’s housemates tease him about his fame, saying “I saw your Tinder profile. Isn’t there like a celebrity version to go on?”
He responds: “I’m not into that whole celebrity lifestyle”
“Is that because you were rejected?” they shoot back.
As Iain looks confused, he says, “Well, it’s pending, actually. Steven Mulhern said he had to wait six months.”
His character is then seen spraying himself with cologne before a date, then sitting alone in a bar. He comments: “I’m loving this no-show stuff”.
As the trailer was released, Iain told his 264,000 fans on Twitter : “Real dream come true stuff. Buffering coming to ITV2 this Aug. It’s really good, I worked so hard and have had the best people work on it. So lucky to have the cast and crew we had.
“And the biggest of shout outs to my co creator Steve, the real brains of the outfit (I’m the good looking one). Get it watched.”
