Samsung Galaxy S10 leak reveals a complete look at the iPhone XS challenger

Samsung is a few weeks away from revealing its next big challenger to the iPhone – but the cat appears firmly out of the bag.

A comprehensive leak showing both the widely-expected Galaxy S10 and Galaxy S10+ was circulated on Twitter by serial leaker Evan Blass.

Also on display was the rumoured S10E – a cheaper phone with few of the bells and whistles of the main devices.

The leak included finished pictures of the three phones inside transparent cases.

Samsung is holding an event on February 20 in San Francisco to make the phones official. They will go up against the iPhone XS, iPhone XS Max and iPhone XR in a battle for those people looking to upgrade their phone this year.

While the S10 and S10+ have triple-camera systems across the back, the S10E only has two. It’s also expected that Samsung will equip the two main phones with OLED screens and a hole-punch display where only the camera lens interrupts the glass. This is a response to the notched display that Apple favours.

It looks like Samsung is adding dual-lens cameras on the front of the S10 and S10+ which could lead to wide-angle selfies – something Google trumpeted with the launch of the Pixel 3.

There’s also no evidence of a fingerprint scanner in these images, which leads us to believe that Samsung has put it under the screen similar to the Huawei Mate 20 Pro and the OnePlus 6T.

What we can’t tell from these pictures is what improvements Samsung will make on the internal components. The South Korean company will likely equip the phone with everything but the kitchen sink. Rumours suggest a Snapdragon 855 processor with a choice of 8GB or 12GB of RAM and up to a massive 1TB of on-board storage.

It remains to be seen whether Samsung will keep the 3.5mm headphone jack or ditch it altogether with this release.

Samsung is also believed to be revealing its folding phone at the event on February 20, most people will be eyeing up these three options for their next smartphone.
