It’s claimed that the showbiz super couple have won the go ahead to build 12X6m pool and hot tub in their back garden – after opposition from concerned neighbours.
A neighbour whose home backs onto their £3.3 million north London home expressed worry that they’d be affected by the noise from the new project, according to The Sun.
Putting their objections in writing, they said: “We do not want to have potential noise pollution from the continual hum day and night of the pool machinery in our very quiet and peaceful garden.
“We have lived in our house for 28 years and it would be a shame to have our garden spoilt by this.
“The noise would not affect [them] as it is a distance from the house but it would impact on us.”
But Barnet Council has ruled that the plans can go ahead, case officer Radhika Bedi reasoning that the noise is “five decibels less than background noise a metre from any of the neighbour’s windows.”
She added: “If the noise emitted from the pool plant has a distinguishable, discrete continuous note (whine, hiss, screech, hum) and/or distinct impulse (bangs, clicks, clatters, thumps)…
“It shall be at least ten decibels below the background level, as measured from any point one metre outside the window of any room of a neighbouring property.”
The Mirror has reached out to the couple for any comment or further guidance.
Rochelle and Marvin have been putting the finishing touches to their dream home since the summer when they moved in with their three kids.
In October they welcomed the fifth member of their family, first son Blake.
Their baby joy was shared by Rochelle’s This Morning colleagues Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield during the live show.
Proud parents Rochelle and Marvin already have daughters Alai, seven, and three-year-old Valentina.
They’d announced they were expecting their third on Easter Sunday, and in a sweet gender reveal video told their girls they were getting a baby brother.
And Rochelle shared a video with the newborn not long after the news broke on This Morning.
“The little man has settled in so well and is currently the happiest here…” she wrote, before adding: “But so am I so no complaints…”
